Learn To Fly Whether you are an aspiring airline pilot, or want to learn to fly for personal business or pleasure, GW Aviation will provide you with the required essential skills and knowledge to pursue your aviation goals.
GW Aviation operates a flight training facility at Pocono Mountains Airport in Mount Pocono, offering individualized training programs to meet the needs and schedules of those wanting to learn to fly. Lessons are tailor-made to fit the busy schedules of students with one-on-one flight instruction. Training is further augmented with interactive computer-based DVD courses. GW Aviation is owned and operated by Mr. Robert Wolak and Mr. Carl Griffiths. Both are Airline Transport Pilots and FAA Certified Flight Instructors, with many years of experience as charter pilots and flight training providers. What Sets Us ApartPocono Mountains Airport is a general aviation airport perfectly suited for students of all levels. The airport facilities are structured for student learning, offering a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, unlike other busy metropolitan airports. Students feel secure during initial training as well as free from the anxiety associated with large airline airports.GW Aviation uses Cessna 172 aircraft, which have long been the preferred choice for training. Our C172N is equipped with the latest in avionics including an HSI and IFR GPS. Learning to fly is affordable and much easier than most people think. We are a Be-A-Pilot participating flight school.
